The Elite S3 is a 700 x 23 road tubular that weighs less than 225 grams, made for racing, time trials and hill climbs. This version has red accents.

Despite its low weight, it has very good puncture resistance and mileage. It's the upgraded successor to TUFO's best-selling S3 Lite, with an improved tread, a 210/375 TPI casing and a wider base tape for a supple ride and sharp handling. A Vectran puncture barrier under the tread adds protection and cornering stability. Whether you're racing or going for a climbing PR, it's a light, fast choice. Tubulars are sewn-up tires that glue or tape onto a dedicated tubular rim, so check your wheels before you buy.

TUFO was founded in the Czech Republic in 1991 by former racer Miloslav Klabal, who built his first tubular in a garden shed. In 1993 TUFO patented the tubular clincher, and today it still makes its tires in its own factories in Otrokovice and Zlín.
