About SKS. SKS GERMANY goes back to 1921, when Karl Scheffer-Klute opened a small workshop in Sundern, Germany. The name comes from Scheffer-Klute and Sundern. The company started making bike pumps in 1932 and got into mudguards in 1983 by acquiring the English fender brand Bluemels. It is still family run, and most of its range is still made in Germany's Sauerland region.
