The Wilier Low Spacer Rubber for Wilier V-Bar is a proprietary cockpit hardware component designed exclusively for the integrated carbon handlebar system found on Wilier Triestina’s ultra-lightweight climbing frame, the Verticale SLR.
Component Design & Purpose
  • V-Bar Cockpit Integration: The Verticale SLR features the completely overhauled V-Bar integrated monocoque carbon handlebar (weighing just 310g). This handlebar requires unique, custom-molded aero spacers to guide internal lines down into the frame head tube.
  • Low-Profile Foundation: The "Low Spacer Rubber" serves as the specific, ultra-thin base gasket or finishing seal. It sits at the absolute bottom of the aerodynamic spacer stack, directly buffering the interface where the carbon spacer blocks meet the frame's upper headset bearing cover.
  • Weather & Sweat Sealing: Molded from a high-density, flexible synthetic rubber compound, its primary job is to create a tight, weatherproof barrier. It blocks rainwater, road grit, and highly corrosive sweat from leaking into the hollow internal cable routing channels, protecting your upper headset bearings from premature rusting.
