The Maxxis Cormet ONE70 (700x23c) is an ultra-lightweight, high-performance pro road racing tire built strictly for speed, low rolling resistance, and competitive pavement riding. Unlike the tubeless Padrone from your previous query, the Cormet is a traditional clincher tire that must be used with an inner tube.

ONE70 Technology - utilizes special high thread count fabric in the casing reducing rolling resistance even further than Maxxis' other racing tires. ONE70 Technology also provides better road feel and weight savings over other racing tires. 170tpi, 215g.

Description

Features

700 x 23: The tire diameter is 700c (standard road bike size) and the width is 23mm (narrow, aerodynamic, and optimized for high-pressure racing on smooth tarmac).
Cormet: The specific pro-level road competition tire model line by Maxxis.
170 / One70: Refers to Maxxis' proprietary ONE70 technology. It uses an extremely dense, high-thread-count fabric casing of 170 TPI (threads per inch). This dramatically reduces rolling resistance, saves weight, and delivers a highly responsive road feel.
SC (Single Compound): Utilizes a uniform compound across the entire tread optimized for pure performance, low rolling resistance, and consistent wear.
Fldg (Folding): Employs a flexible aramid (Kevlar) bead instead of heavy wire, keeping the tire highly foldable and extremely light.
