Rather than a standard charging or power cable, it is an essential diagnostic shop tool for servicing the Mahle Ebikemotion X35 and X35+ hub motor systems used on Wilier e-bikes.

• Firmware Delivery Route: To apply an update, the GCU cable is bridged between a standard Mahle X35 2A Desktop Charger and the bike's frame-mounted charging port socket.

• Data Transfer Protocol: Updated firmware files are loaded onto a standard USB flash drive formatted to FAT32 (maximum 32GB). The flash drive plugs directly into the USB slot built into the GCU interface block.

• Automated Syncing: Once the combined charger-and-GCU-cable bridge is connected to the bike's charging point, the internal system detects the connection and automatically transfers the software patch directly into the e-bike's central architecture.
